Scope & Values
Ecoworks has worked in and with communities from the East Kootenays and the Okanagan Valley to the Fraser Valley and the North Queen Charlotte Islands, from the Upper and Lower Mainland, to the Sunshine Coast and Boston Bar. We’ve partnered with BC Parks, Greater Vancouver Regional District Parks, Fraser Valley Regional District Parks, BC Hydro and Trails BC. We’ve managed multimillion dollar municipal, commercial and government contracts, including work for the Cities of Abbotsford, Surrey, Coquitlam, Langley, Mission, Chilliwack, Township of Langley, the Ministry of Forests, the Ministry of Highways and Parks Departments.
One of Ecoworks’ strengths has been the ability to balance partnerships with different interest groups including First Nations’ partners, environmental groups, landowners, parks representatives, contractors and funders.
- Contributing to our communities where we live and do business
- Taking pride in the work we do
- Maintaining a safe worksite and work practices
- Training and investing in our employees
- Taking care of the environment
We develop our staff by investing in training and helping them grow their careers. This might include working with the Industry Training Authority of BC for an apprenticeship, offering horticultural-specific training courses/certifications throughout the year, or simply providing that first job or seasonal employment in between school. We’ve hired and trained new immigrants to Canada, youth with little work experience and even exchange students. We’re proud of the fact that many of our employees have ‘graduated’ and gone on to increasingly skilled work in the field. We offer competitive wages and a full medical and dental benefits package including an employer-sponsored RRSP.
